Sir Joseph Bazalgette lived just round the corner from where I live now! The English Heritage site says:
BAZALGETTE, Sir Joseph William (1819-1891),
Civil Engineer, lived here.
17 Hamilton Terrace, St John's Wood, NW8
Westminster 1974
There's a blue plaque there, I'm going to get a photo to show off!
